9 Homemade Lip Balm Recipes To Moisturize Your Lips Naturally

The basic ingredients for homemade lip balm recipes include beeswax, carrier oils or butters, and often essential oils. You'll also find recipes here that include extra ingredients such as honey and cocoa powder.

Homemade Lip Balm

Here are some general tips for how to make lip balm:

  • For filling lip balm tubes, you might find a glass medicine dropper useful.
  • Remember the mixture is hot, so take care when filling containers!
  • For recipes that use essential oils, make sure you use genuine, authentic  essential oils.
  • Ideally, use as many organic ingredients as possible.
  • An alternative to using a double boiler to melt ingredients is to heat a small saucepan of water and place a heat-proof glass cup (Pyrex works great) or dish in the pan.
